Defination of Cholestrol

Understanding cholesterol or also called unsaturated fatty waxy substance that is white in color, Cholesterol is naturally present in our bodies. The liver is the production of cholesterol, kolesteorol serves to build cell walls and also to make certain hormones.Actually the human body can produce its own cholesterol, but because people consume food and foods that contain fat that causes people to levels of fat in the body is overheated.Heart disease and vascular disease is a disease caused by excessive levels of cholesterol in the blood. It can occur because of excess cholesterol to form clots and plaque that will clog arteries and ultimately decide the flow of blood to the heart that will lead to a heart attack, and to the brain causes a stroke. So to avoid a heart attack are strongly advised to control cholesterol levels in our bodies. If someone has had a heart attack or surgery baypass, cholesterol levels should be checked regularly. by keeping cholesterol in order to remain fair is the best guarantee to avoid blockage of the arteries.Cholesterol itself is divided into two parts, namely- HDL stands for High-Density Lipoprotein, HDL is "good cholesterol" because it has the ability to cleanse the arteries.- Cholesterol LDL stands for Low-Density Lipoprotein, LDL is "bad cholesterol" that make deposits and clogged arteries.

HDL cholesterol levels above 60 means very good. The higher levels of HDL cholesterol, the lower the risk for a heart attack or stroke. LDL cholesterol is good is lower than 130, and the lower, the better.
To check cholesterol levels is best done after fasting for 12 hours. Blood tests will also measure the components of blood such as triglycerides. As with cholesterol, triglycerides are a type of fat  in foods such as meat, cheese, fish and nuts and also made by the body.
